1. This shelving unit, from the minds of Elia Maurizi and Francesco Pepa, uses Ekby series and some paint. It also is "on trend" with natural wood paired with bright paint.
2. Annie Cournoyer from wanted a simple, chic, not-too-modern cabinet for her main bathroom. She chose Ikea's Godmorgon cabinet with two drawers but, since IKEA doesn't offer a single sink option, she created her own out of warm wood.
3. IKEA Hackers features this transformation of a Hemnes dresser into a campaign inspired chest. This is on the easier end of the scale, with a coat of paint and new brass hardware.
4. This library unit from Atelier 4/5 uses all the original pieces from the Tarva dresser, and requires no cutting. Love the name too.

8 Foods You Should Always Buy

Are you a foodie or a health nut? If so, then you might already know about some of these awesome foods that you should buy if your local store is carrying them, but if not then we’ve got an article for you. ‘8 Foods You Should Always Buy’ discusses the vitamins, minerals, and other good things in these foods that will make your body better! Check it out below.

Avocados
Avocados are a great source of healthy, monounsaturated fat. They're high in fiber, B-vitamins, folic acid and potassium. A 2005 study found that adding avocado to your salad increases your absorption of carotenoid antioxidants 3
Berries
Berries pack a powerful punch. Not only are they are full of health-promoting antioxidants such as anthocyanins, but they're also effective at inhibiting dangerous biofilms in the gut. A 2008 study showed that elderly lab animals that consumed a diet rich in berries exhibited a reversal in age-related problems.
Cruciferous Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, and cabbage have high levels of isothiocyanates, which are cancer-preventive and have anti-carcinogenic properties. The isothiocyanates in cruciferous vegetables trigger genetic changes that turn on cancer-fighting genes and turn off tumor-producing genes.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is nature's richest source of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs). MCFAs are easily digested and sent directly to your liver, where they're converted directly into energy rather than stored as fat. Coconut oil also contains high levels of lauric acid, which has impressive antiviral and antibacterial properties.
Fermented Foods
Fermented foods like kimchi and sauerkraut are a great source of gut-friendly, beneficial bacteria. They help combat seasonal allergies, eczema, depression, and irritable bowel to name a few.
Leafy Greens
Greens are amazing. Not only are they incredibly nutrient dense, but new research suggests that they help combat food allergies and inflammatory diseases. They also protect you from cancer and aid in maintaining a healthy intestinal balance by promoting the proliferation of beneficial bacteria.
Pastured Eggs
Eggs from hens that roam freely outdoors on a pasture where they can forage for their natural diet — namely worms, insects, seeds and green plants — can be very health promoting. A single egg contains natural B12, choline (which supports your brain and heart health), lutein for your eyes, healthy protein and nine essential amino acids.
Turmeric
Turmeric is a true superfood. It has known anti-cancer, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory capacities. A recent study showed that it significantly increased the lifespan of roundworms, fruit flies, and mice that consumed it on a daily basis.

5 Simple Ways To Start Your Day With Greens

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so make sure you get started off right! We’ve found 5 different ways that you can start the day off with a green, mean, and lean meal! Put down the breakfast burrito and check out these options below.

1. The classic green smoothie.

Blending is one of the easiest ways to integrate vegetables into your breakfast. My favorite smoothie is fresh baby kale (milder flavor), pineapple, strawberries, banana and coconut milk. Pineapple is a great balance for the stronger flavor of kale.

2. Prep and scramble.

If you prepare a large batch of your favorite veggies at the beginning of the week, you can easily make egg or tofu scrambles on weekday mornings. I love the combination of mushrooms, onions and greens.

3. Frittata.

Make a big frittata at the beginning of the week and refrigerate it in portions for your busy work mornings. My favorite recipe involves kale and sweet potatoes. I just warm my portion in the oven while I get ready for the day.

4. Green juice.

Add a green juice to your routine! Whether you juice for the whole week on Sundays or grab one on the go from your favorite bar, make a point of downing one daily.

5. Two words: avocado toast.

Toast your favorite whole grain or gluten-free bread, mash avocado on it, add arugula and garnish with salt, pepper and olive oil – fantastic breakfast in five minutes flat. Add a green juice on the side for extra points.
